tenderloin receipe.PNG

Awesome Pork Tenderloin Recipe

INGREDIENTS
1 package of pork tenderloins (2–2.5 lbs), there should be two small tenderloins in the package
6 garlic cloves, sliced in half lengthwise
1/4 c soy sauce
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
4 tbsp honey
2 tbsp orange juice
1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
1 tsp pepper
3 tbsp olive oil

STEPS

  • Preheat your oven to 350º.
  • Spray an 11” x 17” baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Use a sharp knife to poke 6 holes along the topside of each of the tenderloins going about an inch deep.
  • Push a sliver of garlic into each hole and place the tenderloins in the baking dish.
  • In a small bowl whisk together the soy sauce, mustard, honey, juice, rosemary, pepper, and olive oil.
  • Pour the marinade over the tenderloins.
  • Bake uncovered for 45 minutes basting every 7–10 minutes. This gives the tenderloins a delicious glaze over the top.
  • Transfer the tenderloins to a large cutting board and allow them to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Thinly slice the tenderloins and transfer to a serving dish or plates.
  • Drizzle the marinade from the pan over the sliced pork medallions and enjoy!

Free Skin Cancer Screening

Hey Guys,
This is  FYI.
If you are interested and as a service to our employees, see below some information about a FREE SKIN CANCER SCREENING, that the dermatologists in our community are putting on this Saturday.
Although its free, they need to call for an appointment.  Space is limited and filling up fast.
This is part of a nationwide program sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology.  Skin cancer is a huge epidemic.  The screening is an opportunity for the community dermatologist to come together to help increase awareness of this epidemic that kills 1 person an hour in the USA.
This is not a ‘practice builder’.  The dermatologist will not be handing out business cards.

WHAT IS PRAYER?
23-4-2017

“You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.” Psalm 63:1

Prayer is communication. It’s talking and listening to God. The God of the Universe wants to hear from you. He wants to spend time with you. He wants to talk with you. Isn’t that pretty incredible?

How is all this possible? Because of the cross. When Jesus died on the cross, He took our place. He took all our sin, our shame, and our baggage upon Himself so that we could know God – so that we could have a personal relationship with Him. And for a follower of Jesus, that relationship can start today: walking through life with God, talking with Him through prayer, and spending time reading His Word.

Okay, but what can we talk about with God? We can talk about anything and everything with God. But for someone new to prayer, just remember the basics with A.C.T.S.:

  • AAdoration. Begin with praising God’s greatness and character. Praise is not flattery, but true statements of good qualities.
  • CConfession. Confess your failures, your mistakes, and your sins. Ask for God’s forgiveness and His supernatural power to help you forgive others.
  • T Thanks. Thank Him for the good things in your life, the blessings – including strength through the hard times.
  • S – Supplication. What in the world does that mean? It’s asking God to meet your needs and the needs of others.

Too often we treat prayer as a therapy session. We vent, complain, and ask for a quick fix to all life’s problems, when prayer can be so much more. When’s the last time you really spent time with God, sharing your heart, your praises, your confessions, your thanks and needs? Find time today to slow down and speak with God through prayer. It can make all the difference in the world.

Happy Mothers Day!

BEING A MOM IS HARD WORK!

“…rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer…” – Romans 12:12

It’s not easy being a mom these days. Whether you’re home full time or working outside the home, there are challenges every single day. In fact, some days, it’s just impossible to fit in a daily quiet time with the Lord. And it would be wrong for us to put pressure on ourselves to always create this perfect scenario, because in doing so, you would selfishly have to push your children’s needs aside. Now, I believe God understands how hard it can be.  Don’t you?

So, what’s the solution?  Learn how to meditate on God’s Word!
Joshua 1:8 says: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it.”

Meditating is essentially soaking in God’s Word. Like a sponge, sit and linger over God’s Word. Take in the living water and be refreshed. Meditating goes hand in hand with memorization. If you are memorizing, then most likely you are also meditating. But it is possible to meditate and not memorize.

There’s a verse of scripture in Romans that contains three keys for moms and, really, anyone who wants to live a victorious life:

Be joyful in hope. Every mom has hope for her kids. When a mom trusts in the Lord and believes His promises in scripture, she can be joyful in hope for the future of her family.

Persevere in trials. There will be difficulties and trials for every mom (kids not doing well, times of feeling unappreciated, etc.). But when her hope is grounded in God, she can find strength to endure any trial.

Be devoted to prayer. Hey, moms, with so many trials and so much out of your control, be devoted to prayer. Turn your concerns, your fears, and your children over to the Lord. Prayer is the power source for being a great mom and a great person.

Hope, perseverance, and prayer – three keys to victory for moms…and everyone else, too!

EVER FEEL DISCOURAGED?

“…hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts…” – Romans 5:5

The dictionary defines discouragement as a “feeling of despair in the face of obstacles; or a state of distraught and loss of sense of enthusiasm, drive or courage.”

So, have you ever felt discouraged? Of course you have. Everyone will have their share of discouragement at some point in their lifetime. However, the approach we take in dealing with our discouragement will distinguish us from others.

I have some suggestions for you. Start by looking outside. Look up. Oak trees abound, and they cause us to look up. That oak tree is pointing to heaven. Then, focus on God, our Creator. He promises that we can do all things in His strength.

But there’s more:

  • Practice prayer as the first resort, not the last. God is interested in anything that interests you. Talk to Him about your concerns. Ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit, the Encourager and Comforter.
  • Get enough rest. Fatigue makes cowards of us all. When our bodies and minds are rested, we view circumstances differently.
  • Refuse to quit. Keep on keeping on! Perseverance produces character, and character, hope. Hope comes in trusting God to see us through. And remember: an oak tree is just a little nut that refused to give up!

If you’re dealing with discouragement, look to God. He’ll give you the strength to knock discouragement on its face.
